Security Forces Eliminate 10 Militants in DI Khan Operation: Security Sources

Web desk: In a major intelligence-based operation in Tehsil Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan, security forces killed 10 militants, including a key Khawarij leader. Four others were injured, according to the sources.

Security sources confirmed that some of the slain militants were Afghan nationals.

A large cache of explosives, suicide vests, IEDs, and weapons was recovered from the area.

The foreign militant Alam Mehsud, believed to be the mastermind of several major attacks, was among those killed. Local elders expressed satisfaction with the successful operation.

Pakistan’s security forces killed at least 10 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Kulachi Tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan on November 16, 2025.

Among those killed were a key Khawarij commander and four Afghan nationals, while four other militants were injured, as per the reports.

The terrorists neutralised included Khariji Alam Mehsud, who is a former deputy of Abu Zukawan, along with Khariji Sari s/o Gul Nawaz, Khariji Sajid s/o Majeed, and Khariji Tariq s/o Hakeem, reports say.

Alam Mehsud was believed to be the mastermind behind several major attacks, including the 2008 Nawaz Kot post attack, the 2010 Bannu jailbreak, and a 2014 Army post attack.

A large cache of explosives, suicide vests, IEDs, and weapons was also recovered during the operation, reports say.

Multiple Terrorists Killed in Lakki Marwat

Previously, Multiple terrorists were killed during a joint operation in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.

According to incoming reports at the time, clashes erupted at around 10:00 am between the Sector District Lakki Police Committee, supported by a civilian committee, and approximately 25 to 30 militants in the area.

Sources further stated that in Bannu district, the Haved Police Committee, along with the Top Takhti Khel Civilian Committee, had set up ambushes in their respective areas to confront the militants.
