Doctor allegedly abducted from Peshawar’s Khyber Teaching Hospital

A doctor, identified as Nabi Jan Afridi, was allegedly abducted from Khyber Teaching Hospital in Peshawar, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) claimed. PTI also claimed that Dr Nabi Jan was the provincial president of the Insaf Doctors Forum.

According to PTI, Dr Nabi Jan was taken by unidentified individuals from outside the hospital hostel while he was leaving to join a march.

PTI further claimed that the unidentified men opened fire when other doctors tried to resist, injuring another doctor, identified as Dr Zain.

The party also claimed that its general secretary, Dr Saad, is missing.

Insaf Doctors Forum has started taking revenge for the abduction of its two colleagues on poor patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, leaving them in distress, while the chief minister remains unaware of the situation in the province.
