Dr Babu continues to attract audiences with strong story line

Story of Minna and Faizan continues to win hearts in Dr Bahu

The story of Minna and Faizan in Pakistan’s popular television drama ‘Dr Bahu’ airing on ARY digital continues to attract strong viewer interest.

Recent episodes have sparked discussion on social media after Faizan’s betrayal was exposed. The topic also prompted comments from the drama’s director, Mehreen Jabbar.

In the drama, Minna, played by Hajra Yamin, exposes her husband Faizan’s infidelity in front of his parents, leaving him with little room to defend his actions.

The storyline shows that Faizan has married Amber and the couple now has a child. Many viewers were curious about why Faizan chose to betray Minna despite having a caring and supportive wife.

Speaking on a recent podcast, Mehreen Jabbar said the drama had already shown that Minna and Faizan’s marriage was struggling and that emotional distance had developed between them.

She clarified that the problems were not related to the couple’s inability to have children. Instead, she said the relationship had weakened over time. According to the director, Faizan’s infidelity stemmed from his own insecurities and psychological issues.

Mehreen Jabbar also highlighted an important social issue. She said it is wrong to blame women for a man’s decision to be unfaithful.

“A woman is never responsible for her husband’s betrayal. Men make their own choices and must take responsibility for them,” she said.

The director added that this view is not limited to the characters of Minna and Faizan but applies to all relationships affected by infidelity.

Meanwhile, Hajra Yamin’s performance has received widespread praise from viewers and critics. Audiences have particularly appreciated the realistic portrayal of betrayal, emotional pain and a woman’s response to marital heartbreak.

Beyond entertainment, ‘Dr Bahu’ has also sparked discussion on sensitive social issues, helping the drama remain a major talking point among viewers.
