Web desk: Well-known social media influencer Dr Madiha Khan has accused a man, Ahmed Ali Gujjar, of defrauding her in a five-marla plot deal and fleeing the country with the money.
Dr Madiha shared a detailed video on her Instagram account. In the video, she described the incident and urged people to share her story widely to help locate the accused.
She said that she and her husband, Ahsan, were purchasing a five-marla plot. And Ahmed Ali Gujjar had assured them that all documents were in order.
After paying the full amount, neither the plot was delivered nor could they trace Gujjar. It was later discovered that he had fled to Malaysia.
Dr Madiha Khan receives threats
In addition to the video, Dr Madiha posted a threatening WhatsApp voice note allegedly from Gujjar.
In the audio, the person can be heard warning that if his “honour” is damaged due to her actions, he would seek revenge and that she would not recover her money.
Dr Madiha stated in the post’s caption that she is now receiving death threats. And is sharing the information to protect herself, her family, and to raise public awareness.
She states, “After the Scam, I am also receiving threats. I am sharing this for my safety and public awareness. I hope no one else has to face this.”
She said police have recovered 29.5 per cent of the money from the accused’s family. While the rest remains with Gujjar in Malaysia.
She also clarified that if anything happens to her or her family. And that the authorities should investigate threats from Gujjar and his associates.
The influencer added that the plot file was found to be fake. She also stressed, “JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED.”
She emphasised that the institutions and companies mentioned in her posts are not responsible for the fraud. But were cited only to explain the incident.
Dr Madiha stressed that her intention is not to harass or defame anyone. But to warn the public against fake documents and prevent others from falling victim to similar scams.
She wrote, “I am sharing this for the safety of the public and to prevent others from falling victim to similar scams.”
