In June, the 29-year-old was attacked at a hospital in Quetta while she was on duty. The attacker was later killed by police while reportedly trying to flee.
Where is Dr Mahnoor right now?
Dr Mahnoor was initially receiving treatment at Aga Khan University Hospital, and it was reported at the time that she would be sent abroad for a skin transplant.
She sustained 35 per cent burn injuries in the attack. The young doctor also experienced severe psychological distress, as the attack significantly affected her face.
The attack sparked anger among doctors, celebrities and social media users, raising concerns about women’s safety at workplaces.
