To facilitate women drivers seeking licence at their doorstep, the Lahore Traffic Police  has launched the Pink Van Service.

On the orders of DIG Traffic Muhammad Waqas Nazir, the process of issuing driving licences to women has sped up.
More than 248,000 women used different licensing services during 2025.

Traffic police data shows 42 percent more women obtained licences in 2025 than last year.
Over 183,000 women received car driving licences.
This reflects rising independence and better awareness of traffic rules.

The data shows 61,000 women got motorcycle licences.
About 1,833 obtained LTV licences. Some 240 women received rickshaw licences.
Around 150 women secured heavy commercial driving licences.

DIG Traffic Muhammad Waqas Nazir said women received 86 percent of motorcycle licences and 32 percent of car licences calling it a positive sign.

During the year, more than 10,000 women applied for duplicate licences.
Over 77,000 women renewed their licences.

He said more than 2,000 women obtained commercial driving licences in 2025.
This has opened new job opportunities for them.

To facilitate women at their doorstep, the Traffic Police launched the Pink Van Service.
Special women centres were also set up.
These include Abshar Centre in Lahore and Women Enclave Centres in Gujranwala.

Millions of women also benefited from the online licensing system.
