Authorities in Dubai confirmed that two drones fell near Dubai International Airport on Wednesday morning. The incident injured four people.
Officials said two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national suffered minor injuries. One Indian national received moderate injuries. Authorities added that air traffic continues to operate normally.
Dubai Airports, which manages Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), partially resumed operations on March 7 after a short disruption.
Airport authorities urged travellers not to come to the airport unless their airline confirms the flight. Officials warned that schedules may still change.
Amid ongoing regional tensions, airlines in the United Arab Emirates are running limited flights. Passengers should travel only with confirmed bookings and check the latest updates before departure. Authorities said passenger and crew safety remains the top priority.
Meanwhile, Etihad Airways has restored a limited flight schedule from Abu Dhabi to several international destinations.
The airline said the limited operations will continue until March 19. Travellers should fly only if they hold confirmed tickets or receive direct communication from the airline.
