Emirates passengers can change Dubai flight dates for free

Passengers travelling from the UAE should check their flight status before booking or heading to the airport, as several airlines have announced cancellations, delays and schedule changes affecting Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Dubai International Airport (DXB), Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah International Airport have reported multiple flight disruptions, with some services cancelled and others delayed.

Multiple Dubai flights cancelled

Several flights from Dubai were cancelled or delayed on Friday.

Several departures from Zayed International Airport were delayed.

Passengers travelling from Abu Dhabi should check their flight status directly with the airline before leaving for the airport.

Air Arabia announces cancellations

Air Arabia has cancelled several flights between Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Cancelled services include flights between Sharjah and Gassim, Jizan, Tabuk, Kuwait and Bahrain, along with selected Abu Dhabi–Kuwait services.

Other Air Arabia flights remain listed as delayed or not yet departed.

More airlines adjust UAE schedules

Several international airlines have also revised their UAE operations.

Air France, Wizz Air, KLM, Singapore Airlines and ITA Airways have suspended some Dubai services until October 24. Cathay Pacific has cancelled some Dubai and Riyadh passenger services through January 31, 2027.

British Airways, Lufthansa Group and Turkish Airlines are among carriers adjusting or gradually restoring selected Middle East services.

What passengers should do before booking

Passengers travelling from Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah should check directly with their airline before booking and again before leaving for the airport.

  • Check the airline’s website or app for the latest flight status.

  • Monitor SMS and email notifications for schedule changes.

  • Allow extra time at the airport.

  • Contact the airline or travel agent if your flight is cancelled.

  • Check the operating carrier for codeshare flights.

  • Do not travel to the airport for a cancelled flight unless instructed by the airline.

Flight schedules can change at short notice, so passengers should confirm their flight status immediately before travelling.
