LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has booked nine National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) officials after Ducky Bhai’s wife, Aroob Jatoi, complained of misusing authority.
As per details, the case was registered FIA Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore against the investigators, including six officials who are still missing for several days until yesterday.
The FIR was filed by Aroob Jatoi after her husband was arrested in a case regarding promoting gambling apps on social media.
According to the FIR, nine NCCIA officials have been named in the FIR, including Additional Director Sarfraz, Lahore NCCIA Deputy Director (acting in-charge) Zawar Ahmad, Lahore NCCIA Sub-Inspector Ali Raza, Lahore NCCIA Assistant Director Shoaib Riaz, Lahore NCCIA Sub-Inspector Yasir Ramzan and Lahore NCCIA Assistant Director Mujtaba Zafar.
NCCIA Director arrested in corruption crackdown
National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) director, who was investigating the gambling case of famous TikToker Ducky Bhai, has been arrested in a corruption crackdown.
As per details, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) held four senior officers, including the Additional Director, on serious corruption charges.
Sources revealed that the detained officials include NCCIA Additional Director Sarfraz Chaudhry, Deputy Director Muhammad Zawar, Sub Inspector Ali Raza, Shoaib Riaz, Mujtaba Ramzan, and Yasir Gujjar.
The officials are accused of misusing their authority and accepting bribes, sending shockwaves through Pakistan’s premier cybercrime agency.
Moreover, the suspects will appear before Lahore District Court today. Lawyer Barrister Mian Ali Ashfaq will represent the suspects.
NCCIA official missing
Deputy Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Usman, who went missing from Islamabad was investigating the gambling case of famous TikToker Ducky Bhai.
Authorities have still not found Usman, the Deputy Director of NCCIA, who has been missing for the past 10 days.
The Islamabad High Court during the course of today’s hearing asked the police about progress in the case. The DSP Legal informed the court that investigations were still underway and that the SSP Investigation was personally supervising the case.
He also revealed that the missing Deputy Director was investigating the case of TikToker Ducky Bhai. Other officials working on that same case have also gone missing. The case originally belonged to a Lahore police station that was handling the Ducky Bhai investigation.
During the hearing, the court also ordered police to check Usman’s WhatsApp data records. Justice Azam Khan remarked, “We are giving you one week. The goal is to solve the case, not just give dates.”
The court learned that Usman’s wife, Rozina, is also missing. Lawyer Rizwan Abbasi told the court that Rozina disappeared after filing a petition in the Islamabad High Court about her husband’s disappearance.
