ISLAMABAD: Deputy Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Usman, who went missing from Islamabad was investigating the gambling case of famous TikToker Ducky Bhai, the court was informed on Friday.

The Deputy Director of NCCIA, Usman, who had been missing for the past 10 days, has still not been found.

The Islamabad High Court during the course of today’s hearing asked the police about progress in the case. The DSP Legal informed the court that investigations were still underway and that the SSP Investigation was personally supervising the case.

He also revealed that the missing Deputy Director was investigating the case of TikToker Ducky Bhai. Other officials working on that same case have also gone missing. The case originally belonged to a Lahore police station that was handling the Ducky Bhai investigation.

During the hearing, the court also ordered police to check Usman’s WhatsApp data records. Justice Azam Khan remarked, “We are giving you one week. The goal is to solve the case, not just give dates.”

The court was informed that Usman’s wife, Rozina, is also missing. Lawyer Rizwan Abbasi told the court that Rozina disappeared after filing a petition in the Islamabad High Court about her husband’s disappearance.

According to the DSP, Rozina was first in Lahore and then in Islamabad. The data obtained is available only until October 18. He said Rozina’s last known address was on Empress Road, but her phone has been switched off since then. When investigators visited the house, they found it locked, and were told that her children are also missing with her.

Lawyer Rizwan Abbasi told the court that the petitioner (Rozina) had received a threatening call, warning her to withdraw the petition.

Justice Azam Khan asked whether Rozina might be staying with her parents or relatives. The lawyer replied,

“Even if she is there, how can we assume she went willingly?”

The DSP Legal further told the court that Usman’s last location was in Islamabad’s F-6 sector, and CCTV footage from the area had been checked. He said that if WhatsApp data could be retrieved, it would help trace the missing officer.

The court has now given police one more week to recover the missing officer and adjourned the case till October 31.
