The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted the sighting of the Eid moon.
According to Deputy Director of the Meteorological Department Anjum Nazir, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will be held in Islamabad on March 19. But the chances of moon sighting are low on that day.
Predicted date of Eid moon sighting
The department has said that Pakistan will complete 30 days of Ramazan, hence, Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to fall on March 21st.
However, the final and official announcement will be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
The weather is going to remain pleasant during this Eid.
Eid holidays in Pakistan
The Pakistani government has declared March 20 and 21 as public holidays throughout the country.
As per the official notification, March 20 and 21, which are Friday and Saturday respectively, are off. At the same time, Sunday is a public holiday on March 22.
After the government notification, all public, private schools, universities, and offices will remain closed during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. During holidays, several people will travel from big cities to their villages to celebrate Eid.
Transporters increase fares during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays
Transporters raised the fare for travelling during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
Transporters in Islamabad and Rawalpindi raised the fare, and travellers in both cities are facing difficulty in traveling back to their villages during the Eid holidays.
