England Lions vs Pakistan Shaheens all set for T20 series opener

Pakistan Shaheens are set to face England Lions in the opening match of the T20 series on Friday, February 20, at the Stadium Oval in Abu Dhabi.

The second T20 match is scheduled for February 22, while the third T20 will occur on February 24. Following the three-match T20 series, a five-match 50-over series will commence at the same venue from February 27 to March 9.

All eight white-ball matches will take place at the Stadium Oval in Abu Dhabi, with the first ball of the first and second T20s expected to be bowled at 2 pm local time.

The first ball of the third T20 is set to be bowled at 7.30 pm local time. The five-match 50-over series will consist of day matches, with the exception of the fourth 50-over match, which will be played under lights.

The toss for the fourth match is scheduled for 2.30 pm, with the first ball to be bowled at 3 pm local time. The other 50-over matches will commence at 10 am local time, with the toss taking place at 9.30 am.

The series will be aired on Ten Sports in Pakistan, and it will also be live-streamed on Myco throughout the country. Viewers in the UK will have access to the matches on PCB’s OTT platform.

In Bangladesh, the England Lions vs Pakistan Shaheens match will be broadcast live on T Sports and will also be available for streaming on Myco, while Myco will provide coverage in the MENA region.

Prior to their arrival in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday afternoon, the Shaheens participated in a six-day pre-series camp in Karachi for their upcoming England Lions vs Pakistan Shaheens match.

The players engaged in training sessions and played practice matches to prepare for the series. Under the guidance of the coaching staff led by Ijaz Ahmed Jnr, Pakistan Shaheens also conducted a training session at the Stadium Oval in Abu Dhabi on Thursday afternoon.

Shamyl Hussain shares his thoughts

Shamyl Hussain, the captain of Pakistan Shaheens, expressed his thoughts prior to the series: “I am thrilled to lead Pakistan Shaheens, a team that showcases a commendable mix of seasoned players and promising young talents, including Sameer Minhas.
