Etihad Airways has announced the resumption of limited commercial flight operations starting March 6, 2026, after suspending several services due to the ongoing situation in Gulf countries.
The airline said the decision was taken in coordination with relevant authorities following extensive safety and security assessments.
Limited flight operations begin
Etihad confirmed that it will operate a restricted flight schedule between Abu Dhabi and several key international destinations, including routes serving passengers travelling to and from Pakistan.
Passengers who had previous bookings will be accommodated on the resumed flights as soon as possible, while new tickets are also available through the airline’s official website.
However, the airline has advised passengers not to travel to the airport unless they have been contacted directly by Etihad or have a confirmed booking.
Other flights remain suspended
Despite the partial resumption, all other scheduled commercial services to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended for now.
Etihad said additional destinations will be gradually added as the situation improves and conditions permit.
Affected passengers will receive direct communication from the airline confirming their flight status and available travel options.
Travel advisory for passengers
Passengers travelling on Etihad flights are advised to:
- Check their flight status on the airline’s website before leaving for the airport
- Ensure their contact details are updated in their booking to receive timely updates

Rebooking and refund policy
The airline has also announced flexible options for passengers affected by the disruption.

- Travellers booked on flights scheduled until March 21 may also request a refund online or through their travel agent.
- Passengers who booked tickets through travel agencies should contact their agents directly.
