The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) President, Mohyuddin Ahmed Wani, held several important meetings on the sidelines of the FIH World Conference, raising hopes that top European hockey teams could visit Pakistan next year.
During the FIH World Conference in Brussels, PHF President Mohyuddin Wani held a high-level meeting with International Hockey Federation (FIH) President Tayyip Ikram.
The meeting focused on strategies to further strengthen Pakistan hockey’s global presence and influence, enhance international ties, and organise world-class hockey events in Pakistan.
Wani also met with the heads of hockey federations from several countries on the sidelines of the conference. The discussions focused on promoting hockey in Pakistan, strengthening cooperation, and exploring opportunities for international teams to visit the country.
These meetings have raised hopes that top European hockey teams could tour Pakistan next year, potentially paving the way for the return of international hockey to the country and giving a boost to the sport. According to the Pakistan Hockey Federation, efforts are underway to further strengthen ties with the international hockey community and provide the national team with maximum international exposure.
