Evening rain brings end to humid, hot day in Islamabad

Sudden evening rain in Islamabad and its adjoining areas bought a pleasant end to hot and humid day on Tuesday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected at isolated places in the upper and central parts of the country over the next three days, while hot and humid conditions are likely to persist in several areas.

The maximum temperature recorded in Islamabad was 31 degree centigrade with 80 percent humid conditions.

In Islamabad and its surrounding areas, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy over the coming days, with chances of rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms at times.

Scattered rain and thunderstorms are also expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjoining mountainous areas, while some parts of Punjab may also receive rainfall.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather is expected to continue across the southern and plains areas of the country.
