Faizabad terminals are closed on 10th and 11th April due to the ongoing peace talks between the US and Iran in Islamabad. Several transport services are asking passengers to book their tickets from alternative terminals.
Faisal Movers wrote in a post on their Facebook page, “Important for travellers: Faisal Movers Faizabad terminals will remain closed on 10th and 11th April due to government policy. Please plan accordingly and make bookings from Ghazali and City terminals to avoid inconvenience. Thank you for your cooperation and trust.”
It is important to mention that 26 number terminals will remain open for public transport, and travellers can book their tickets from there.
Why are Faizabad terminals closed?
According to the media reports, Faizabad terminals are closed on 10th and 11th April due to the government policy. It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan is hosting peace talks between the US and Iran. The peace talks are currently ongoing in Islamabad, and the foreign delegations are arriving in Islamabad for the peace talks.
Earlier, the US Vice President JD Vance departed for Pakistan, and the Iranian officials will also reach Pakistan at any hour.
Pakistan’s role as a mediator
Pakistan, as a country, played an important role in the ceasefire between the US and Iran. Pakistan’s Prime Minister and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir played a key role in the peace talks between the US and Iran.
The US President Donald Trump and Iran trusted Pakistan to play the role of a mediator. Earlier, the US Vice President JD Vance also said that the negotiations will be positive. On the other hand, Iran is also looking for positive dialogue and lasting peace in the region, particularly in Gulf countries.
