Web desk: A fake notification regarding Field Marshal Asim Munir‘s assumption of office as the Chief of Defence Forces has been circulating on social media.
Authorities have confirmed that the document is digitally forged and completely fabricated.

Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar, while holding a press conference with Information Minister Atta Tarar, said that do not worry at all, the original notification is coming.
He said that the government works according to its framework, and there is no such big news today. He further added that all matters are as usual.
Azam Nazeer Tarar said that there is a clear framework to run the system, and the government moves forward under it.
Speaking at the press conference, the Law Minister said that the founder of PTI is a convict and is serving his sentence in jail.
According to him, the control of Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, is with the Punjab government and according to the jail rules, any prisoner is allowed to write only one letter and have one meeting per week.
The notification circulating on electronic media regarding the appointment of the Chief of Defence is fake.
The government introduced the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) post earlier through the 27th Constitutional Amendment.
“There is unnecessary and irresponsible speculation about CDF notification. Please be informed that the process has been initiated. PM is returning shortly,” Defence Minister Khawaja Asif wrote in a post on X before.
The Defence Minister added that an official notification regarding the appointment would be issued in due course, stressing that there was “no room for conjecture.”
