Fakhar Zaman has been handed a two-match suspension after being found guilty of ball tampering. The left-handed batter was charged under a Level 3 offence, with the board ruling that his actions breached the code of conduct, leading to disciplinary action against him.

The left handed premier Pakistani batter Fakhar Zaman has come under intense scrutiny. He was being investigated for alleged ball tampering in a recent Pakistan Super League match and has been found guilty.

The incident has sparked concern within cricketing circles garnering both national and international attention. PCB has taken swift disciplinary action based on the offence.

The incident according to the Pakistan cricket board (PCB) took place during the final over of the match between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars on Sunday.

Karachi Kings needed 14 runs to secure the victory. In that over Fakhar Zaman was seen in conversation with the Lahore Qalandar captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and the fast pacer Haris Rauf. This raised suspicions among the match officials and they replaced the ball.

Media reports indicate that match referee Roshan Mahanama summoned Fakhar Zaman for a re-hearing regarding the matter.

During the proceedings, the batter reportedly maintained his stance and declined to accept the allegations of wrongdoing.

Following the hearing, the match referee has reserved his decision. The PCB announced its verdict today, finding the batter guilty.

After being found guilty Fakhar Zaman has been banned from playing the next two matches in the PSL 11
