Lahore Qalandars’ Fakhar makes PSL history

Lahore Qalandars star Fakhar Zaman has smashed into the record books in PSL 11.  The explosive opener reached 3,000 runs in the Pakistan Super League during the opening clash against Hyderabad Kingsmen at the Gaddafi Stadium.

He achieved this feat in the opening match of PSL 11 between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen at the Gaddafi Stadium. Fakhar Zaman has now scored 3,000 runs in the PSL, accomplishing this in his 98th innings.

He is the second player to reach 3,000 PSL runs, with Peshawar Zalmi’s Babar Azam leading the chart with 3,792 runs.

Lahore Qalandars easily defeat Hyderabad Kingsmen by 69 runs

Earlier in the opening match of HBL PSL 11, the Lahore Qalandars easily defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 69 runs.

Batting first, the Qalandars posted a formidable total of 199 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Opener Fakhar Zaman led the charge with a fluent 53 off 39 balls, smashing 10 fours. He was well supported by Haseebullah Khan, who remained unbeaten on 40, and Muhammad Naeem, who contributed 30 runs.

Chasing a target of 200, the Hyderabad Kingsmen struggled to keep up with the required run rate and were eventually bowled out for 130 off the last ball. Captain Marnus Labuschagne top-scored with 26, while Riley Meredith and Hassan Khan added 19 and 14 runs respectively.

The Qalandars’ bowlers delivered a clinical performance, with Haris Rauf, Sikandar Raza, and Obaid Shah each picking up two wickets, effectively dismantling the Hyderabad batting lineup.

With this win, the Lahore Qalandars not only secured crucial points in the PSL 11 standings but also sent a strong message to the competition with their all-round display.
