Lahore Qalandars and Pakistan’s star batter Fakhar Zaman has dismissed the rumours and speculations about retiring from T20 Internationals.
He said that he has currently no plans to end his career and when he retires it will hopefully be on a high note.
Fakhar Zaman, speaking about the issue said that he initially decided to retire form International T20 cricket after the World Cup but now he has changed his mind.
He has clarified that he no longer plans to retire and will end his T20 career on a very high note.
Fakhar Zaman has been an integral player for Pakistan in the T20S since his debut.
The 35-year-old batter has played in 120 matches and scored 2494 runs. His average strike rate is 132.5. He has scored 14 half-centuries.
Other than Pakistan he has been a major figure for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. He is representing Qalandars for the 11th straight season.
Fakhar Zaman has played 99 matches in the PSL and scored 3,018 runs at a strike rate of 141.82. He scored 24 fifties and two centuries.
The statement of Fakhar Zaman regarding retiring also comes at a time when he is facing disciplinary action in PSL 11.

Recently Fakhar Zaman was charged with a level 3 offence under Article 2.14 of the Code of Conduct. The reason for that was that he violated Article 41.3 of the playing conditions during the match of Lahore Qalandars against Karachi Kings on March 29.
The article is related to the actions of the players that alter the ball.
The disciplinary hearing was conducted by match referee Roshan Mahnama. After reviewing the available evidence and a personal hearing Fakhar was handed a two match ban.
