Claims circulating on social media alleging that the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has occupied Kharan city have been exposed as false and fabricated, as normal life continues uninterrupted in the area.
On-ground observations from Kharan Bazaar showed that shops opened, business activities were running as usual, and residents were carrying on with their daily routines without fear or disruption. There are no signs of unrest or militant presence in the city.
Local citizens strongly rejected the propaganda circulating online, terming it an attempt to spread panic and misinformation. Residents expressed confidence in the security situation and reiterated their support for the armed forces.
According to locals, a small group of militants associated with what they described as “Fitna-ul-Hindustan” briefly appeared in the area, recorded a video, and fled. Residents claimed that four of the militants were later killed.
Citizens emphasised that the people of Balochistan stand united against terrorism and will not be misled by false narratives spread through social media.
