Pakistani singer, musician and actor Umair Jaswal has admitted that he has been betrayed by his former wife, actress Sana Javed, during their marriage, giving rise to talk on social media.
Umair Jaswal, who is known for being a jack of all trades when it came to music and acting, caught people’s attention with several memorable performances in television shows like the Coke Studio hit “Charkha Nolakha” and “Sammi Meri Waar.” He has also portrayed his acting skills in projects such as Moor and Yalghaar.
The singer had married Sana Javed in a simple ceremony during the time of the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, and the couple were frequently seen in public appearances ever since.
However, after being almost a year without any news on their relationship, fans got a big shock in January 2024 when ex-cricketer of the Pakistan cricket team, Shoaib Malik, and Sana Javed announced their marriage.
The announcement drew significant public attention, as many observers believed both individuals were still married to their respective partners at the time. Allegations of unfaithfulness soon surfaced against both Shoaib Malik and Sana Javed.
Recently, Umair Jaswal indirectly put to rest the controversy in a post shared on his official Instagram account. In it, he put out a meaningful quote denouncing unfaithful partners, letting those who cheat on their spouses not be accepted and calling for society to stop normalising this behaviour in 2026.
Through the post, he mentioned social rejection of both men and women who were unfaithful to their relationships.
Fans overwhelmingly supported him online, and his message of unfaithfulness should be condemned on all levels and is unacceptable behaviour. Many social media users also called upon people to draw a firm line and disassociate themselves from people involved in such actions.
