After 18 years, Pakistani-American actor Faran Tahir has made a highly anticipated comeback to the Marvel universe, proving himself once again on the international stage.

Nearly two decades on from his stint in the 2008 blockbuster Iron Man, Tahir is back to play the antagonist Raza in Marvel Studios’ series VisionQuest.

In the original movie, Tahir was dubbed as Raza, a dangerous antagonist who kidnapped Iron Man, also known as Tony Stark, the billionaire inventor and superhero.

His character kidnapped Tony Stark and triggered events which eventually paved the way for the birth of the iconic armoured superhero.

In today’s time, 18 years later, Tahir has come back in the role of Raza, but his look and voice have greatly changed from his previous portrayal.

The return of his character will be met with a new generation of Marvel fans who may or may not recognise him.

Tahir appears in the latest episode of VisionQuest with his fellow armed companions trying to capture Vision, one of the main characters of the Marvel universe.

His presence brings another link to the franchise’s earlier movies and contributes to the character’s narrative.

Tahir’s comeback to Marvel is a moment to celebrate for the entertainment industry in Pakistan, as it continues to showcase Pakistani talent in international films.

The actor has carved out a career on both the big and small screen, with his film and tv projects being loved all over the world.

The new appearance not only brings back a character tied to one of Marvel’s biggest movies, but it also highlights Tahir’s iconic status in today’s film industry, almost 20 years after his debut in the franchise.
