Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) announced that the last date to submit income tax returns is July 27, the private media outlet reported on Friday.
The spokesperson for FBR urged citizens to file their tax returns with honesty to enhance the tax system in the country.
The spokesperson also said that all details should be correct while submitting tax returns.
All taxpayers need to take care that all the information should be correct, clean and based on honesty while submitting their tax returns.
The spokesperson also stated that filing accurate and timely income tax returns plays a key role in establishing a strong tax system.
The spokesperson concluded that it is the responsibility of taxpayers to submit their tax returns within the prescribed deadline and ensure that the information provided is accurate.

Earlier, the government had accelerated work on the Federal Board of Revenue’s National Faceless Centre, with Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb directing officials to keep the flagship tax reform on schedule while ensuring strong cybersecurity to protect taxpayer data.
Chairing a review meeting, Aurangzeb assessed progress on the implementation roadmap and operational readiness of the project, which is part of the FBR’s new Tax Operating Model aimed at making tax administration more transparent, efficient and technology-driven.
Officials briefed the minister on the implementation plan, including the establishment of the Project Management Unit, governance structure, technology development and the phased rollout strategy. The meeting also reviewed timelines for the pre-pilot, pilot and nationwide implementation stages.
