The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) announced to keep its offices open on Saturday and Sunday, keeping in mind the convenience of taxpayers.
According to the details, the FBR has taken an important decision for the convenience of taxpayers and the timely disposal of relevant matters.
The announcement said that all field offices across the country working under the board will remain open at the end of the current week, between Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, 2026.
This decision shall apply to all headquarters and regional offices administered by the Board.
The offices which will remain open on the weekend include Large Taxpayers’ Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayers’ Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs).
Officials said that all field offices will work as per their normal working hours on both Saturday and Sunday to save taxpayers from any kind of inconvenience.
Instructions have also been issued to ensure the attendance of staff so that the process of submitting taxes and other legal documents can go on uninterrupted.
The officials added that the decision has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of taxpayers and meeting revenue targets on time to avoid any kind of rush or technical difficulties in the last few days.

What are LTOs, MTOs, CTOs, and RTOs?
Large Taxpayers’ Offices (LTOs): These are the offices that provide facilities and monitor the largest corporate and industrial taxpayers in Pakistan.
Medium Taxpayers’ Offices (MTOs): These are the offices responsible for handling and facilitating the medium-sized businesses and enterprises.
Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs): These offices are located region-wise and are responsible for the facilitation and collection of taxes from the registered corporate entities and companies.
Regional Tax Offices (RTOs): These are the territorial offices of the FBR tasked with broadening the tax base, enforcing compliance, and collecting revenue from individuals, AOPs (Association of Persons), and smaller businesses within specific geographical jurisdictions.
