The Federal Minister of Petroleum, Ali Parvez Malik, met with the French Ambassador Nicolas Galey in Islamabad. Both officials showed commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy and mineral sectors.
During the meeting, the French Ambassador Nicolas Galey praised Pakistan’s effective supply strategy for petroleum products. He further said that Pakistan handled the situation carefully regarding the energy crisis as compared to the other countries in South Asia.
Similarly, the federal minister of petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, said that Pakistan is carefully dealing with the situation due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The federal minister of petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, an effective system was established in view of the changing global supply chain situation, under which petroleum supply was ensured from alternative sources.
Ali Pervaiz Malik said that the government took the burden of high petrol prices to facilitate the citizens of Pakistan. On the other hand, the work on the subsidy program for working-class citizens in the country is in progress.
What did the French Ambassador say?
During the meeting, the French Ambassador said that France has good relations with Pakistan. He further added that the bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and France has become stronger day by day.
The French Ambassador Nicolas Galey also confirmed that French companies are also interested in the mining sector.
