Web desk: Amid ongoing protests in Pakistan, the Federal Government Educational Institutions (FGEI) Directorate has confirmed that its scheduled examinations will go ahead as planned.

According to an official notification, the tests set for 11th and 12th October 2025 will be conducted as per the announced timetable.

All candidates have been instructed to appear at their respective test centres on the date and time mentioned on their roll number slips.

The FGEI has also reported that roll number slips are available on the official induction portal.

Candidates must download and print their slips and carry with them the printed slip and original CNIC to the test location, because without these, the candidates will not be allowed to enter.

The decision to proceed with the tests comes despite widespread demonstrations and security concerns in various parts of the country.

Details about the FGEI Tests

The FGEI Directorate conducts several types of examinations throughout the academic year.

These tests include admission tests for new students, regular academic exams such as mid-term, term, and final assessments. Additionally, it includes scholarship exams aimed at awarding merit-based financial aid to talented students.

These tests serve multiple purposes, including student selection, academic evaluation, scholarship distribution, and the promotion of discipline and skill development among students.

Schools to Remain Closed in Several Regions

In the meantime, as a result of the current protests, all state and private schools in Punjab, Islamabad, and other impacted locations will be closed on Saturday because of security concerns.

The President of the All Pakistan Private Schools Federation, Kashif Mirza, said the purpose of the closure is to ensure the safety of both students, parents, and staff members in the tense situation.

He said security measures have become unavoidable under the current circumstances.

Similarly, the Punjab Education Board has also announced that all public schools in Lahore, Gujranwala, and other affected cities will remain shut until further notice.
