The FIA Immigration authorities stopped two passengers attempting to travel abroad using fake documents and fraudulent means at Islamabad Airport.
The FIA officials said that the travelers who have been detained are identified as Hasnain Azhar and Muhammad Atif.
Hasnain Azhar was trying to travel to Portugal using a fake resident card and Muhammad Atif was in contact with agents involved in human trafficking in an attempt to illegally travel to Europe.
According to FIA officials that both passengers have been shifted to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Islamabad for further legal action and identification of the agents involved, where investigations are currently underway.
The FIA further said that operations against human smuggling and fake travel documents have been intensified.
Earlier it was reported that Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that no one will be allowed to damage Pakistan’s name under any circumstances.
