‘Field Marshal and PM Shehbaz are one strong team, on one page’: Hassan Ayub

Field Marshal

Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif are one strong team and on the same page, says journalist Hassan Ayub Khan.

The journalist dismissed rumours about differences between the two.

According to Hassan, there were rumours that the government had been given a six-month ultimatum and that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) might be removed.

The journalist added that both the Field Marshal and the Prime Minister are working on projects aimed at benefiting Pakistan.

“Some people are trying to create a rift between the two,” he noted.

He stressed that the relationship between the government and the military, as it stands today, will remain the same in the days ahead.

Earlier, CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasised the army’s zero-tolerance policy towards any threats to national security.

He also reaffirmed the military’s resolve to respond to evolving challenges with professionalism and determination.

He said the armed forces remained committed to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and internal stability, while promoting discipline, excellence and selfless national service.

Last month, the army’s top leadership had also warned political forces against undermining national unity through agitation or rhetoric, besides vowing to deal sternly with what it described as India-sponsored proxies involved in terrorism.
