Field Marshal Asim Munir, Commander Royal Saudi Land Forces Discuss Regional Security

Web desk: Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, Lieutenant General Fahad Bin Saud Al-Johani, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

According to an official statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security, and opportunities to further enhance bilateral defence cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the longstanding and brotherly ties between the armed forces of the two countries.

The COAS Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir expressed satisfaction over the robust defence collaboration and highlighted the importance of continued cooperation in training, capacity building, and intelligence sharing.

Lieutenant General Al-Johani appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged Pakistan’s positive role in promoting regional peace and stability.

Upon his arrival at GHQ, the visiting Saudi commander was presented with a Guard of Honour.

Previously, participants of the Cambrian Patrol competition called on the Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

The Field Marshal congratulated the team for their outstanding performance in one of the world’s toughest military endurance and leadership competitions.

He praised the participants for demonstrating exceptional physical endurance, tactical skill, and teamwork, reflecting the highest traditions of the Pakistan Army.

Field Marshal Munir appreciated the dedication and rigorous training of the team, noting that their success has brought pride to the nation and reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to excellence.

The participants thanked the Field Marshal for the honour and reaffirmed their commitment to uphold discipline, selfless service, and professional excellence.
