Field Marshal Asim Munir says Marka-e-Haq reflects national unity, resolve to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, presided over the 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference on Tuesday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The forum paid tribute to the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians who sacrificed their lives in the defence of the country.

It said that the sacrifices of martyrs will always remain the foundation of Pakistan’s national security, unity, and resilience.

The Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also expressed satisfaction over the preparedness, professionalism, and capability of the armed forces.

He also appreciated the performance of commanders and formations in ongoing intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations across the country.

The conference also noted that these efforts will continue to completely eliminate terrorist networks and prevent any misuse of Pakistani territory.

Operation Ghaziabad-ul-Haq

The forum reviewed ongoing operations against terrorists and their infrastructure under Operation Ghaziabad-ul-Haq.

It was stated that the illogical and misleading policy of the Afghan Taliban regime provides safe havens to Khawarij and other terrorist groups.

The forum said this support is against the interests of the Afghan people. It added that such actions have been exposed.

It was also said that the Afghan Taliban regime falsely alleges that Pakistan is targeting civilians inside Afghanistan.

The forum said that these claims are part of a disinformation campaign that wants to divert attention from internal issues.

Pakistan rejected these allegations and said its operations are based only on verified targets, including terrorist hideouts and infiltrators.

The forum also reviewed the regional security situation. It noted that current geopolitical developments may affect regional stability.

It also stressed the importance of avoiding tensions and exercising restraint. Further, it said that Pakistan continues to support efforts for stability and de-escalation in the region.

The conference emphasised that peace and stability depend on mutual respect, responsibility, and respect for sovereignty.

First anniversary of Marka-e-Haq

The Field Marshal also congratulated the nation and the armed forces on the completion of the commemorative year of the Marka-e-Haq. He called it an important milestone.

He said it reflects national unity, resolve, and commitment to protect Pakistan’s sovereignty at all costs.

The forum stated that observing the Marka-e-Haq at the national level sends a clear message that Pakistan is united, strong, and fully prepared.

It also said the event reflects strong coordination between the people, government, and armed forces.

Violence in IIOJK

The forum also strongly condemned ongoing violence, extrajudicial killings, and demographic changes in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). It reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued diplomatic, political, and moral support for the people of Kashmir.

At the end of the meeting, Field Marshal Asim Munir directed commanders to maintain high readiness and operational preparedness in view of emerging threats.
