Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has arrived in Turkiye on an official visit, where he is expected to hold important meetings with the Turkish leadership and senior military officials.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a brief statement issued on Sunday, said CDF Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir arrived “in Turkiye on an official visit”. It is expected that discussions during Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s visit will focus on defence and military cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye, the regional security situation, and matters of mutual interest.
During the visit, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir will meet senior Turkish officials and military leaders. The meetings are expected to focus on further strengthening the long-standing and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkey.
Defence cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye has continued for many years, with the two countries collaborating in areas including military training, defence production, and security. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s visit is being viewed as significant for further expanding defence ties and strengthening military cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye.
