RAWALPINDI: Minister of Defence of Tajikistan Colonel General Sobirzoda Emomali Abdulrahim, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at General Headquarters (GHQ).
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defence cooperation were discussed. Both sides expressed their resolve to enhance the existing military-to-military collaboration, particularly in the areas of training, counter-terrorism, and regional security.
The visiting dignitary appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and acknowledged its role in promoting regional stability and peace. The COAS, while emphasizing the importance of collective efforts for regional stability and prosperity, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening defence and security ties with Tajikistan.
UK Army Chief Meets Field Marshal Asim Munir
Previously, General Sir Charles Roland Vincent Walker, Chief of the General Staff (CGS) of the United Kingdom Army, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security, and measures to enhance bilateral defence cooperation between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
Both military leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening collaboration for peace and stability in the region.
The UK Army Chief appreciated the Pakistan Army’s sacrifices and achievements in the fight against terrorism. And its continued efforts to promote regional peace and stability.
