A fire erupted at a warehouse in Lahore, and the rescue operation is underway, a private media channel reported on Friday.
According to the sources, the rescue teams arrived at the spot after receiving news of a fire eruption near Barkat Market.
Rescue officials confirmed that a media outlet reported that a reporter initially said on the call that a fire erupted in a house. However, after initial investigation, it was confirmed that the fire engulfed a warehouse building.
As per the media report, the rescue operation is underway, and rescue officials are trying to control the fire.
The fire has continued to burn, and firefighters have not yet brought it under control.
Sources confirmed that the chairs in the warehouse became the reason for the fire spreading quickly.
On the other hand, the related authorities were directed to get the nearby building evacuated to avoid any inconvenience.

Earlier last month, the police registered a case against six people, including the owner of a Gulberg hotel, after a fire erupted at the private property.
The Lahore police confirmed that the Gulberg Police Station registered the case on the complaint of Civil Defence Chief Instructor Rashid Rafique.
The accused named in the FIR include Gulberg hotel owner Nadeem Mirza, along with Fazeel Ahmed Khan, Atif Muhammad, Kamil Khan, Bilal Shah, and Muhammad Masaib.
