Fire broke out at a shopping mall on Karachi’s MA Jinnah Road late Saturday night, prompting authorities to dispatch six fire tenders to contain the blaze, according to fire brigade officials.
Rescue sources stated that seven people were injured in the fire and were shifted to hospital. Several people are believed to be trapped inside the shopping plaza.
According to fire brigade officials, efforts are underway to control the blaze with the help of eight fire tenders, a snorkel, and a water bowser.
Video footage from the scene showed flames sweeping through nearby shops as firefighters battled to bring the fire under control.

The report stated that the fire broke out on the mezzanine floor of the plaza, which comprises a ground floor, a mezzanine floor, and two upper floors. According to market sources, the shopping plazas have more than 1,000 shops.
