Two people were killed and two injured, including women, in Lahore posh area of Defence on Thursday morning in a firing incident.
According to Rescue officials, a father and son were killed in the firing incident in Defense phase 3 while two women mother and daughter were injured.
The deceased have been identified as Sarfaraz and Abdullah and the injured as Shahnaz and Fatima. All the victims were members of the same family.

The injured have been taken to General Hospital for medical treatment.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
According to the police, initial findings indicate that the father Sarfaraz fired upon his son, wife and daughter and then later committed suicide. Two of his other children escaped upon hearing the firing
More details into the incident are still awaited. The police are still investigating and are waiting for the injured to stabilise for more questioning.
