Indonesia’s Bat Instrumen Bank has announced that it has completed all legal, regulatory and compliance formalities required to establish its first branch in Islamabad, with operations expected to begin in July 2026.

In a statement, Bat Instrumen Bank noted that its entry comes at a time when Pakistan is navigating economic challenges, expressing confidence that the new branch will help generate opportunities for economic growth, financial inclusion and broader prosperity.

The bank stated that its operations will focus on supporting economic development through job creation, facilitating investment and offering innovative financing solutions. It added that its presence in Pakistan is expected to support private-sector growth while also contributing to government-backed development projects through strategic partnerships and funding initiatives.

According to the bank, the Islamabad branch reflects its long-term confidence in Pakistan’s economic prospects and its commitment to deepening financial and economic ties between Indonesia and Pakistan.

The institution also expressed its intention to collaborate closely with local businesses, investors, government bodies and other stakeholders to encourage sustainable development and shared economic progress.

In its statement, Bat Instrumen Bank extended appreciation and gratitude to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistani regulatory authorities and other stakeholders for their cooperation, support and engagement throughout the process of establishing the branch.
