Five school children crushed to death in Kot Addu

Luxury vehicles collision in Dalbadin kills women among seven

A tragic road accident claimed the lives of five minor children in Tehsil Chowk Sarwar Shaheed Kot Addu after a high-speed tractor-trailer collided with two motorcycles near the Layyah Road Man Pump.

The incident occurred early in the morning as the children were on their way to school when they were struck by the speeding vehicle.

Rescue teams and City Police Chowk Sarwar Shaheed rushed to the scene after receiving the alert and shifted the bodies to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and an atmosphere of grief and mourning prevails in the area.

The deceased children have been identified as Abdullah (5) and his brother Abdul Rehman (7) Abdul Basit (17), Dua Fatima and her brother and Muhammad Adil (16).

All the victims were residents of Chak No. 560.

Local residents have expressed deep sorrow and anger over the incident demanding strict enforcement of traffic laws to prevent such heartbreaking tragedies in the future.

Earlier six persons including woman and children were killed when the roof of a house collapsed in Khair Abad Matta area of Shabqadar tehsil Peshawar.

As per rescue services details that in the incidence under the debris several women and children were trapped.

According to officials the rescue teams were actively engaged in removing the rubble to reach those trapped and the deceased include women and children aged between two and 14 years.

The injured had been immediately shifted to hospital for medical treatment and rescue operations remain underway.
