Flour to be sold at Rs8 less per kg in Karachi

The Commissioner of Karachi, Syed Hassan Naqvi, has assured that flour will be sold at Rs8 less per kg within the city.

He stated that the traders have assured him that they will sell the flour across Karachi at the rate mentioned, which will be Rs8 less than the current price.

According to the media reports, a meeting was held between the Commissioner Karachi and the Jodia Bazaar Traders Association and the Flour Mill Owners Association.

Traders in Jodia Bazaar and representatives of the Flour Mill Owners Association assured the authorities that they would implement an Rs8 per kilogram reduction in flour prices.

Officials told the meeting that No. 2 flour, fine flour and chakki flour would all be sold at Rs8 less per kilogram. Representatives of major supermarket chains also pledged to fully implement the revised prices.

Deputy commissioners were directed to ensure strict enforcement of the new prices in their respective districts.

Karachi Commissioner, Syed Hassan Naqvi, added that the reduction in flour prices would be passed on to consumers without exception. He added that traders in Jodia Bazaar and flour mill owners would sell flour at the revised rates in line with the decision taken by the flour mills.
