Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Ishaq Dar met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing today, Tuesday, at the invitation of the latter.
The meeting was held in a warm and cordial atmosphere. “The meeting was held in an exceptionally warm and cordial atmosphere, featuring hours of engagement from restricted talks to delegation level discussions,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
“The two sides reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations, exchanged views on regional developments in West Asia, and discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest,” it added further.

As Pakistan and China mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the All Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership.
They focused on advancing high-quality development, deepening economic and strategic cooperation.
This included those under CPEC 2.0. They also talked about enhancing high level exchanges across all areas.
Regarding the situation in West Asia, both sides emphasised peace, stability, and dialogue.
They issued a Five Point Initiative to promote regional stability. Foreign Minister Wang Yi praised Pakistan’s consistent and constructive diplomatic efforts in the region.
The two sides also reaffirmed close coordination in multilateral forums and agreed to stay in regular contact.
The visit highlighted the enduring warmth, trust, and strong friendship that define Pakistan China relations.
US, Iran trust Pakistan’s mediation role: Envoy
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has said it is encouraging that both USA and Iran have shown trust in Pakistan.
In an interview with a US broadcaster, he said Islamabad is ready to play a mediation role in the ongoing tensions between Iran and the USA in the broader regional interest.
