Four members of a family were seriously injured in a cylinder explosion in Mohalla Khayam Town, Sector H-13, Salamabad, on Thursday.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred at approximately 3:30 pm when a gas cylinder reportedly exploded inside a house, causing severe injuries to the occupants. Two women and a child are among those injured.
Police and rescue teams responded promptly after receiving information about the blast. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have begun an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
It is worth mentioning here that at least eight people, including a newlywed couple, were killed and eleven other injured in a gas cylinder explosion at a wedding house in January.
The sorrowful incident occurred in the Federal capital sector G-7/2 when a wedding ceremony was underway. The powerful blast spread panic in the area and damaged nearby houses. The injured were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for medical treatment. According to rescue officials, at least four nearby houses were damaged due to the explosion.
