ISLAMABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has released details of the vacancies for candidates who appeared in the Central Superior Services (CSS) Examination 2024.
According to a press note issued by the Federal Public Service Commission, a total of 364 vacancies have been allocated in various federal departments and institutions, including 247 new and 117 vacancies from previous years.
214 vacancies have been allocated under open merit, 32 for women, 118 for minorities.
179 seats have been allocated for candidates from Punjab, 48 for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 31 for Balochistan, 32 seats for Sindh (rural), 29 for Sindh (urban), 15 seats for candidates from erstwhile FATA, 8 for candidates from Azad Kashmir and 4 for Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) disclosed that only 2.53 percent of candidates cleared the written part of the CSS 2024 examinations.
According to official figures, 23,100 candidates applied for the competitive exam, while 15,602 actually appeared in the written test.
However, just 395 candidates managed to pass, highlighting the strict standards and intense competition of one of Pakistan’s toughest examinations.
After the CSS 2024 exam results, eligible candidates will be given allotments in different groups which include Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service, Foreign Service, Income Tax, Office Management, and other federal groups
