The Government of Sindh has announced a major update regarding the distribution of free pink electric scooters for women as part of celebrations for International Women’s Day.
According to Senior Provincial Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Memon, the initiative will officially be launched on March 8 (today) as part of the provincial government’s efforts to empower women and provide them with safe and eco-friendly transportation.

Memon said the Pink Electric Scooter Program is designed to improve women’s mobility and independence by making transportation easier and more accessible.
He added that the provincial government plans to introduce more initiatives in the future to improve the quality of life for the public, with a special focus on women’s empowerment.
Free bike training announced for women under new initiative

In collaboration with KFC, the Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA) is conducting the program at Niaz Stadium. The training sessions will take place from December 18 to December 25, 2025, daily between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Officials stated that the program provides practical, hands-on riding instruction to build participants’ confidence and equip them with essential independent mobility skills. Experienced trainers will offer guidance to attendees throughout the sessions at the venue.
