Yesterday, the federal government also announced an increase in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel.
The price of petrol was increased by Rs 2.43 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel was increased by Rs 3.2 per litre.
After this, the new price of petrol became Rs 265.45 per litre, and the price of high-speed diesel was increased by Rs 278.44 per litre.

This decision aims to keep the oil market in the country stable and to transfer the effects of global prices to the local level.
According to a notification issued by the government, these new prices have come into effect immediately for all consumers and will remain applicable for the next 15 days.
