Web desk: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that he welcomes the vision of Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman for development on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative (FII9) conference.
PM Shehbaz also added that Pakistan is on the path of development through reforms in various sectors.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is a country rich in natural resources, and the nation is moving forward by learning from its mistakes.
He said that the government has started the process of reforms in many sectors, while the FBR has been completely digitised, which has significantly reduced corruption.
Shahbaz Sharif said that 60 per cent of Pakistan’s population consists of youth, who are the country’s biggest asset.
He said that Pakistan is among the 10 countries severely affected by climate change, and the country has had to bear billions of dollars in losses due to natural disasters like floods and cloudbursts.
The Prime Minister said that more funds are required for the recovery process, and continuous debt weakens the economy.
He stressed that equal cooperation in various fields is essential to take humanity in the right direction.
He said that Pakistan is moving rapidly towards acquiring modern technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The government is utilising all resources to benefit from AI so that innovation can be brought to the agricultural sector.
He said that the government is exposing the youth to modern technology, while Pakistani youth are getting training in the field of AI from China, so that agriculture and the economy can be built on a strong foundation.

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have agreed to launch a comprehensive Economic Cooperation Framework. This is a new chapter in their longstanding strategic partnership that spans nearly eight decades.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Riyadh on Monday.
The initiative highlights the historic brotherhood and deep-rooted Islamic solidarity that bind the two nations.
The framework aims to strengthen trade, investment, and development cooperation between the two countries, according to the official statement.
Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting mutual economic interests and expanding collaboration across multiple sectors.
