Samsung appears to be rethinking the design of its popular Galaxy A series, and early signs suggest the upcoming Galaxy A57 will be noticeably slimmer than its recent predecessors.
For some time, users have complained that the Galaxy A50 lineup was getting thicker with each new model. However, fresh leaks now point to a change in direction. According to the latest reports, Samsung has trimmed down the Galaxy A57, making it thinner and lighter than both the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A55.
The device is expected to be unveiled in mid-February, alongside other new Galaxy A models. Ahead of the launch, the Galaxy A57 has already surfaced on China’s TENAA certification platform. This listing, combined with newly leaked images, has given a clear look at the phone’s design and key dimensions.
The Galaxy A57 carries the model number SM-A5760, with the final digit indicating it is the Chinese variant. While the certification does not reveal much new in terms of specifications, it does confirm the overall design and size. Images shared by The Tech Outlook show the phone from multiple angles, offering a first proper glimpse of what Samsung has planned.
One of the most noticeable changes is the camera design. The Galaxy A57 appears to borrow cues from the upcoming Galaxy S26, featuring a more defined, layered camera island. This gives the back a cleaner and slightly more premium look compared to earlier A-series models. The LED flash stays in the same spot as seen on the Galaxy A56.
The size difference is small but meaningful. The Galaxy A56 measures 162.2 × 77.5 × 7.4 mm, while the A57 comes in at 161.5 × 76.8 × 6.9 mm. That reduction makes the new model shorter, narrower, and most importantly, slimmer. It is also lighter, shedding around 16 grams compared to its predecessor.
The leaked images show the Galaxy A57 in a purple-like finish. It is not yet clear whether this colour will be available globally or limited to select markets. Samsung may also give it one of its familiar “Awesome” colour names.
With the official launch expected in the coming weeks, more details are likely to surface soon.
