In gas leak explosion at least five people, including women and children, were injured in Pakistan’s federal capital, Islamabad.
As per reports a powerful blast happened inside a house situated in the jurisdiction of Shams Colony police station due to a gas leak.
The explosion was so strong that the roof and one wall of the house collapsed, causing severe structural damage.
Rescue teams and police reached the scene immediately after receiving information and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital, where they are being provided medical treatment.

It is pertinent to mentioned that at least eight lost their lives, whereas 10 sustained injuries after a powerful cylinder blast in G-7/2 sector of Islamabad.
Additional Deputy Commissioner General Sahibzada Yusuf reached the spot of the incident. He stated that the explosion collapsed the home with 15 people inside.
The blast occurred while the wedding guests were present at the house. The explosion caused severe damage to four neighbouring houses as well, Sahibzada added.
He said that all people trapped under the rubble had been recovered. Rescue teams pulled 15 people from the debris. Out of 15, eight died, while the others were injured and rushed to hospital.
The injured were taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where an emergency was imposed to ensure immediate medical treatment.
Islamabad Police said Deputy Inspector General Muhammad Jawad Tariq reached the spot of incident and personally supervised the ongoing rescue operation.
In a statement, the police said the area had been completely cordoned off, the injured were being provided medical assistance and further investigation into the incident was underway.
