Officials said the move will help stabilise the gas network and ensure smoother distribution during peak winter demand.

They further said that the shutdown is aimed at providing better gas pressure to households and commercial consumers across Karachi.

Domestic gas demand rises sharply in winter, especially during morning and evening hours.

To manage this, domestic and commercial users will face a scheduled gas supply suspension from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM.

SSGC asked affected sectors and consumers to cooperate during the temporary suspension.
