Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply in several areas of Islamabad due to repair work on a leaking main pipeline.
According to the company’s announcement, gas supply will remain suspended from 9pm on Monday, October 19, until 6am on Tuesday, October 20.
The affected areas include Ghauri Town, Faizabad Bypass Road, High State Road (from Khanna Pul to Barah Mor), Sawan Village, Gulberg Town, Shakrial, Rehman Garden, Burma Town, Garden Town and surrounding localities.
SNGPL has advised consumers in these areas to make alternative arrangements to avoid inconvenience during the suspension. Residents have also been urged to keep their gas appliances switched off while the supply remains suspended to prevent possible accidents when gas service is restored.
In a separate announcement, temporary gas suspension has also been announced for Sector G-7, Blue Area and adjoining areas of Islamabad.
Residents have been advised to plan accordingly and follow safety precautions during the scheduled maintenance work.
