Will it snow in GB, Kashmir and KP today? PMD issues weather alert

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Friday issued a weather alert to warn of rain, thunderstorms, and light snowfall in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over the next two to five hours.

According to the details, the PMD has forecast rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in different areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This weather is expected to last for the next 2 to 5 hours.

Additionally, light snowfall is also expected at a few places, according to the details.

According to additional details given by the department, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms or light snowfall is likely in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kalam, Malam Jabba, and Shangla as well.

Similarly, bad weather is expected in Buner, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Haripur.

Rain and light snowfall may also occur at a few places in Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas.

The Meteorological Department has advised the public to take precautionary measures during these weather conditions.

The PMD had also predicted light rain in the Islamabad, Rawalpindi & Pothohar regions.
